Fine Arts Report – December 2010/January 2011

Band – Ms. Risa Hsu, Director

• Dakota Marching Band participated for the third straight year in the Detroit Thanksgiving Day Parade.

• The Dakota Marching Band held their year end banquet on December 2^nd.

• The Dakota Bands performed their Winter Concert on December 8^th.

• STORM, the Dakota Winter Guard team has been practicing and preparing for competition in the Michigan Color Guard Circuit. They have their first exhibition at ‘Field Day’ this weekend.

• The DHS Drum Line is also preparing for competition and has field day exhibition this weekend.

• Band All-Night party is this Friday.

• Dakota will be co-hosting Band Festival with CVHS March 11^th and 12^th.

• Dakota will be hosting MSBOA Honors band March 19^th through 22^nd.
