Treasurer’s Report:
Savings: $4,490.39 Donations Pending: $10,364.69
Checking: $31,936.09 Balance: $26,061.79
Treasurer’s report was approved.
Administration:
Oklahoma performance had a successful run. Varsity football – back-to-back championships. Newsletter is available online. 75 new members inducted into National Honor Society. Giving Tree in atrium and 1st hour classes will be receiving flyers to donate items for the soldiers in Iraq
Student Report:
Holiday Book Fair, bring in 10 old books, name entered in a raffle for a Visa Gift Card. Books can be dropped off in the Media Center. Door decorating contest begins this week, all 1st hour classes will be participating. Winners will receive a Coney Island lunch.
Fine Arts Report:
Band: Marching Band Banquet will be on 12/13 from 6-10:30 pm. Brass ensemble at Glenn Peters on 12/12/07.
Choir: The Dakota Choirs will be representing their annual holiday concert “An Old Fashioned Christmas” on Wednesday, Dec. 12th at 7:00 pm. Admission is $5 adults and $4 for students and seniors. Several students from each choir have been selected to be the “Ambassadors of Choir”, singers who will represent Dakota throughout the holiday season at various venues in the community. Upcoming events are as follows:
12/10: “A Christmas Carol” @ DHS – 7:00 pm
12/15: Partridge Creek Mall
12/17: Sequoyah Elementary Christmas Party
12/18: “The Crews Inn” 31988 N. River Road
Service Report:
Key Club: The Key Club will be helping the Clinton Township Kiwanis members sort food for the needy this holiday season. Some members are volunteering once a week at the Boys and Girls Club and some members will be volunteering at various elementary schools in the district for breakfast with Santa.
National Honor Society: Members are volunteering their time at various elementary schools and Breakfast with Santa.
Es De Moda: Members are taking the club in a new directions this year and learning to crochet. They also designed a tree skirt for the tree in the Atrium.
SAAD: Many members have participated in Nicotine Narcs, a group dedicated to making sure that cigarettes are not sold to minors and prevention of cigarette abuse by minors. The groups go store to store posting signs and getting signatures from store owner’s commitment to Nicotine Narcs.
Sports Report: Boy’s Basketball volunteers are needed for concession sales – contact Chris Torchala for information.

Craft Show: Next year’s show will be November 8, 2008. Application will be posted soon on the website.

New Business:
Nancy Martens and Bob Meyers resigned as Sports Trustee’s. The Sports Trustee position will be split into 2 positions, 1 for Fall season, and 1 for winter/spring season, Booster’s are looking for volunteers.
