Comments from General Membership regarding the Championship
Trophies Request:
- Chris
Torchala: Explained the voting process with General Membership. Football
did not have enough participation; trophies are considered a personal item.
- Hockey
Team had a similar request, had the participation but the item requested
wasn’t according to the by-laws.
Parent Comment: What about other teams that win State Championships, does
the Booster’s buy trophies?
- Response
from the Board: The request would
need to be submitted to the Board and it would be discussed.
Parent Comment: Football parents
are not aware that they need to participate. It may have been mentioned once or twice in the last several
years.
- Parent
Question: Did Booster’s by State Championship t-shirts? Yes.
Under normal circumstances the
Board generally turns down requests that do not meet the criteria. This was a
special circumstance. Generally about 20% people participate in their
group. Boosters cannot earmark funds
for groups.
Craft Show: Applications
will be mailed out February 1st.
